Orton-Gillingham Tutoring

Orton-Gillingham tutoring can be provided in person or virtually. In-person sessions are conducted at Sarah’s home office or at The Walker Lower, Middle, or Upper Schools, if your child attends Walker.

While Orton-Gillingham is the gold standard for dyslexia remediation, research has also shown it to be the most effective approach for all students learning and/or grappling with written language skills.

Orton-Gillingham tutoring sessions are provided twice weekly for one-hour sessions and on nonconsecutive days. Some younger students or learners with comorbidities such as ADHD may benefit from shortened session times.

Sarah has helped learners ages 4 through adult with Orton-Gillingham tutoring. She can provide you with more information regarding your specific student and need. Some older students do well with virtual lessons, while younger students often respond best to in-person services.
