Sarah Null
Structured Literacy Services
Providing services and support for students, teachers, schools, and families
Why Structured Literacy?
Structured Literacy is an approach to teaching reading and writing skills that is based on the Science of Reading. Structured Literacy focuses on explicit, systematic teaching of all literacy skills (not just phonics) and lots of multisensory delivery. Although these approaches are the gold standard for remediating dyslexia, the Science of Reading has shown that all brains benefit from Structured Literacy.
Not only can Sarah directly provide Orton-Gillingham support to students needing reading or writing support, but she can also provide Structured Literacy training and support for teachers who want to use it in their classrooms. You can learn more about the Structured Literacy approach and its suitability for all learners on the National Center on Improving Literacy website. You can read a detailed description of Structured Literacy on the International Dyslexia Association website.
